Back in December, the new unplugged version of the band came to life.

Official statement 2013:

Hello everybody.

We'd like to inform you that on January 1st, 2013 the new tour of the Queen & Freddie Mercury tribute band - The DRAGON ATTACK - started:: THE COSMOS TOUR 2013.

With this particular event WE'D LIKE YOU TO FOCUS YOUR ATTENTION on what will happen in 2013 within the band, actually on what already started.

1) First of all we'd like to thank our staff (The Dragon Attack Staff - BM Service) who magnificently and professionally worked with us so far and that in 2013 will undergo big changes especially in the security of the events, in the technical personnel and in the organization, with substantial and structural improvements to ensure the shows will be even more safe, beautiful and exciting!

2) Very important, the band has been incessantly working for weeks on 2 projects in the recording studio, as well as on a DVD project with a collection of the best live moments!

3) A nwe live project was born parallel to the band involving 4 of the 6 musicians from the original band set up:

- Patrick Galella: Voice

- Walter Benedetto: acoustic/electric guitars /chorus

- Fabio Giordano: acoustic guitar /chorus

- Gabriele Naso: Bass guitar /chorus

It's called The DRAGON ATTACK QUEEN REVISITED BAND and will be a new version of the band playing Queen & Freddie Mercury's songs in unplugged/acoustic versions.

(Gigs dates of this new band will be listed in the "next gigs" section in our official website).

4) The band has always been very sensitive to charity, therefore will continue to give its contribution in the battle to diseases and problems of everyday life, organizing charity events during the current year and for years to come.

5) We are organizing a huge charity event in memory of our friends ALESSIO RICCIARDI and GIUSEPPE MIRAGLIO, who died prematurely, to support an association the band cares about a lot and is very fond of (La Rosa Blu). You will find details about this event both on our website and on facebook.

(During the event we will remember all friends who have left us).

6) In order to organize this type of events, we have to face huge expenses and, at this point, we'd like to thank the sponsors who have already contacted us to participate in the March event, and especially our regular sponsors who support us from the very beginning of the band activity.

7) WE ARE SEARCHING FOR ADDITIONAL SPONSORS WISHING TO GIVE THEIR CONTRIBUTION TO THE ORGANIZATION OF THIS EVENT: ALL PROCEEDS FROM THE MARCH EVENT WILL BE DONATED TO "LA ROSA BLU" A NO-PROFIT ORGANISATION THAT TAKES CARE OF FAMILIES WITH CHILDREN WITH SEVERE DISABILITIES AND / OR MAJOR DISEASES.

8) Contact us to become our sponsor, any contribution you can make, even small amounts, advertising material, various material, anything that can help us to deal with the organization of these big events where admission is ALWAYS FREE and all proceeds obtained through your FREE OFFER will be donated to charity (in this case "La rosa blu"). According to the offer that will be made, your company/organization will be advertized on our website and at every gig for the duration of the entire Tour 2013!

10) The band finally wants to thank all their fans, and the fans of Freddie Mercury and Queen, who always encouraged and rewarded us with their affection at every event that we made! A special thanks goes to MONTREUX MUSIC and especially to Mr. Peter Freestone (Freddie Mercury Personal Assistant) because after having wanted us hard, first our singer Patrick Galella in September 2009 to perform solo, in 2010 the band and his entire staff, he wanted us again in 2012 as top band on Saturday evening during the 'OFFICIAL FREDDIE MERCURY MONTREUX MEMORIAL DAY. Thank you very much Peter ... for us it was a real honor!

The Dragon Attack, Italian Queen & Freddie Mercury tribute band

was born in summer 2008, became Official Tribute band in 2011, the story goes on... ;-)

News of the day: June 26 Patrick will be interviewed on "Radio Alba" at 4:25 p.m. during an episode of "dieghito time". With Patrick live also the "iena" TV and MTV host Angela Rafanelli and songwriter Andrea Mirò. Go to Facebook or on the official websites: www.radioalba.it and www.dieghito.it ... He will speak of his future projects as a singer/musician and about the impending gig with his band Tribute to Queen "The DRAGON ATTACK" on July 7 in Galimberti Sq. in Cuneo at 9 p.m.. Don't miss it!

Jacky Smith, kept her promise: finally we got an official recognition as Queen Tribute Band

by the International Queen Fan Club.
